Studio Sessions: Garett Yahn

0

Hello, and welcome to the next installment of Studio Sessions with Boston-area artist Garett Yahn.

Garett Yahn is a 2011 MFA graduate from the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, and earned a combined undergraduate degree in fine art and art education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 2005. Garett uses performance and art interventions to examine relationships among individuals within a community, and between himself and his family. His work often utilizes a very simple device, such as shaving, or receiving a haircut, or buying a pair of shoes, but frames the experience in a way that inspires thought and introspection on the activity at hand.

Listen as Garett discusses a wide variety of his projects and how he creates art out of seemingly everyday activities.
