Annual AIDS Benefit Exhibition 2013
"The benefit exhibition opens promptly at 10 AM on Saturday, December 7.
The website with images of all donated works will go live on this page at the same time but not beforehand.
There are no previews (keeping it fair to all) but we can tell you that many artists donate small works (approximately 14" x 14") and they are available for a donation of $350 to one of two causes:
THE BOSTON PEDIATRIC/FAMILY AIDS PROJECT
and/or
THE AFRICAN AIDS INITIATIVE INTERNATIONAL, INC.
The artists' generosity and purchasers of the works combine to make an incredible gesture that has been overwhelmingly appreciated. 100% of the proceeds go toward assisting children infected with AIDS and their families." [Source]

Sophie Calle, courtesy of the artist

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, 280 The Fenway, Boston
Lecture: Yve-Alain Bois: Sophie as Sherlock
"Sophie Calle has a forensic relationship to reality. She documents the past, but it is less the events in themselves that interest her than proof that they really happened. Surveillance, exhibitionist display, and absence have long been essential themes of her detective work, the latter concerning directly the works done in conjunction of the infamous theft at the Isabella Gardner Museum."
