Michael R. Spicher, PhD, is a philosopher of art and aesthetics in Boston. He works as an editor for the Leonardo Electronic Almanac published by MIT Press and for the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. He teaches at Boston University and Boston Architectural College. He runs a website devoted to practical and theoretical issues in aesthetics called the Aesthetics Research Lab. And you may occasionally find him playing harmonica or slide guitar in Jamaica Plain.
