Kate Farrington is a New England-based artist and writer. Her most recent project, an outdoor public sculpture entitled “Confronting the Towers (Not a Memorial),” is a collaboration with artist Richard Cutrona and was installed at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and Governor’s Island, New York in 2011 and 2012. Her writing has appeared in Artcore journal, Art New England and NY Arts magazine. She received her MFA from the Art Institute of Boston and is currently working towards her PhD at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in Visual Arts.
