Raphaela Platow is leaving her post at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University. Platow is moving stakes from Massachusetts to Ohio, taking a position as director for the Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati. CAC's decision to select Platow followed an 8-month international search, finding her be the ideal candidate based on her ability to "engage the community" and her "large worldview and extensive contacts", say board members as reported by the Enquirer.
This new venue adds another line to Platow's lengthy resume, which includes The Center for Contemporary Art in Raleigh, NC. The Exhibitionist reports that Platow is slated to start her new position in July after having been at the Rose since 2002.
