This past autumn, Art Interactive hosted the exhibition and game show "Art Show Down," produced by Jeff Warmouth and Roland Smart. This television game show was shot in front of a live audience, producing seven episodes that aired on CCTV. It included a broad cross-section of artists that created the project, and many more artists, curators and fans who participated as contestants, guests, audience members and much more.
This week, the producers of "Art Show Down" announced the release of a DVD compilation of all seven episodes. You can re-live all the strange, western-themed insanity, the awkward schmoozing, paint-splattered action and dangerous acts in defiance of gravity -- hosted by the extreme and hilarioius Megan Goltermann.
The production team included: James Manning, Jeff Smith, Ravi Jain, Nick Rodrigues, Paul Concemi, Haik Sahakian, Matt Nash, Rob Coshow, Mitsu Toda, and many others. Contestants included Andrew Mowbray, Heidi Marston, Laurel Kirtz, and Rachel Dayson, to name a few. Guest curators were Nick Capasso, George Fifield, Tiffany York, Howard Yezerski, Kristen Dodge, Bill Arning and James Hull.
DVDs can be ordered through the "Art Show Down" website.
