The Big RED Anti-telethon is underway, and now is your chance to support our little pink website. It doesn't take much, just a few dollars from you, for us to continue bringing coverage of the arts in New England. But please, don't call us, because there are no operators standing by.
PayPal is an amazing invention, allowing you to donate to our cause with a few clicks. It is safe and easy, and you can donate with the confidence that your information is secure. Besides, while the idea of a group of volunteers fielding your calls is appealing, we are a website. PBS and Jerry Lewis have their telethons: Big RED has it's anti-telethon.
If you donate, will you receive a coffee mug or tote bag?
No.
You will, however, gain the peace of mind that only comes from knowing that the arts you support will continue to be covered by our excellent writers and editors. Even better, your money will help us launch our first print annual, so you can support the arts while beautifying your coffee table.
How much are we asking for?
Well, that's up to you. Big RED produces 18 issues a year, with about 15 articles per issue. Since our launch in 2004 we have published 524 articles. Is great arts coverage worth $10, $20, or more? That's up to you. Even a mere $5 would keep editor-in-chief Matthew Gamber from stealing Jerry Lewis' routine, and perhaps, put a smile on his face for the first time since the Clinton administration.
