Our next guest on the Studio Sessions podcast series is Andrea Evans.
Andrea Evans is a 2009 MFA graduate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and earned a BFA in painting from Arizona State University in 2004. Much of her work involves wearing impractical articles of clothing that she creates, such as a pair of socks that are joined together at the toes, or a two-person balaclava that forces the wearer to see nothing but the face of the other person wearing the garment. She uses these works as methods of exploring her relationship to her surroundings, other people, and herself, and also creates silverpoint drawings based on her performance pieces.
Listen as she explains her process and how her performances and drawings have evolved out of her experiences.
