#FirstFriday: 1 March 2013

0

This #FirstFriday, head over to the ICA from 5-10pm and catch one of your last chances to see This Will Have Been: Art, Love & Politics in the 1980s before it closes on March 3rd. While there, you can also view a screening of this year's Oscar-nominated Animated short films which will be playing continuously until 9:30pm. Or you can stop by the MFA for their First Firday events with DJ Leah V. Both events are 21+ with tickets sold at the door.

As always, the SOWA District art galleries (450 Harrison Street in the South End) will be open with new and continuing shows from 5-8pm. SOWA galleries and artists’ studios are FREE and open to the public of all ages. This month, be sure to stop by Kayafas for the outstanding photos by Guillermo Srodek-Hart, see the intricate graphite drawings by Sandra Allen at Carroll & Sons and the equally elegant small-scale works in SmokeTraceBlow at Steven Zevitas Gallery.

Some of the Big Red & Shiny team will be out on the town tonight. Look out for the #FirstFriday hashtag. Say hello!
