A project like Big RED & Shiny is not built overnight, and it does not come from a single vision. Since 2004, we have had the opportunity of working with a great group of writers who are excited to share their thoughts on the state of the arts in New England (and beyond!).
Behind the scenes are a four dedicated artists who work to make this little pink website happen. Every two weeks we convene online to discuss the latest contributions, edit the writing, choose the images, and put together the bits and pieces that will make a new issue.
As a peek inside our process, we thought it was finally time to let you know a little bit about the people who make Big RED & Shiny happen. We are all artists with our own ideas and agendas, and it is the diversity and depth of our interests that has allowed this site to grow and change over time.
To the right you can choose an interview of one Big RED member by another. We hope that these conversations offer some insights into who we are and what we expect from art in New England. So enjoy.
