STATE OK’S MORE FUNDS FOR MCC

0

After weeks of legislation, vetoes, and overrides, the Massachusetts legislation voted to increase the Massachusetts Cultural Council's budget by $2.45 million, bringing the fiscal year budget for 2007 to just more then $12 million. This increase is also tied in with a separate initiative to the Cultural Facilities Fund, which will help develop, protect, and upkeep of arts related structures and by stimulating cultural economies throughout the state, particularly in smaller communities. This increase is the third budget hike in three years.
