Harvard University Art Museum gets 31 works and $45M

Today Harvard announced the gift from class of 1936 alumna Emily Rauh Pulitzer, a former curator at HUAM and wife of the late Joseph Pulitzer Jr. The gift is part of the Pulitzer family's ongoing philanthropy in support of the arts.

This is why you stay in touch with wealthy alumni and remind them, ever so gently, that there's always a home waiting for their fortune and their art collections.

Thanks to Emily, but let's just hope that Harvard makes it easy (e.g. free) for us to enjoy these works for posterity.
