#FirstFriday – 5 September 2014

0

This #FirstFriday, head over to the Mills Gallery at the Boston Center for the Arts and come to the 3rd BIG RED SHINDIG, our annual party and fundraiser from 7 - 10pm. We still have plenty of tickets available for purchase at the door, cash only, but be sure to get there right when the event begins because they are limited. Big Red & Shiny is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that relies on donations to operate, your $20 ticket purchase will help to ensure that we are able to continue our mission by funding BR&S for another year. It will also get you entry to the party and free beer/wine at the Shindig for those 21 and up.

We'll have work by Sean Downey, Giovanni Giacoia, and Emma Rhodes, with Liz Nofziger's Boston Center for the Arts Public Art Residency project "Bounce," an interactive outdoor installation in the courtyard in front of the venue. Music stylings will be provided by DJ Flack, DJ DayGlow, DJ Pace. In addition to all of the amazing artists and DJs already announced and listed, we've now confirmed that we'll have Visuals by Samo and more music by Scam Cassell.

While in the South End you can, as always, make your way to the SOWA District art galleries—open from 5-8pm. SOWA galleries and artists’ studios are FREE and open to the public of all ages.

We hope to see you all tonight to celebrate!
