#FirstFriday: 1 November 2013

0

This #FirstFriday the ICA Boston hosts a masquerade-themed event, performances by the Adele Myers and Dancers company, and music by DJ Knife. While there, be sure to check out their new exhibition Amy Sillman: one lump or two. The event goes from 5-10pm. The Museum of Fine Arts Boston also hosts its MFA First Friday event tonight from 6:00-9:30pm, featuring DJ Rich DiMare. Tickets available online through their website or in person at the museum. Both events are 21+.

Or you could head to the South End and over to the Boston Center for the Arts' Mills Gallery for About, With & For—a group exhibition curated by Juliana Driever—open until 9pm. The SOWA District art galleries (450 Harrison Street in the South End) will be open from 5-8pm. SOWA galleries and artists’ studios are FREE and open to the public of all ages. Of note tonight, Miller Yezerski's new project space, M-Projects (450 Harrison #309A), has a continuing exhibition by our friends at Aint-Bad Magazine featuring images from their new issue. Collaborative space kijidome will also open their doors at 59 Wareham Street to their first First Friday with the exhibitionS01E01 featuring work by Dennis Congdon, Oliver Herring, and Elizabeth Riley. Be sure to check both out!

Some of the Big Red & Shiny team will be out on the town tonight. Look out for the #FirstFriday hashtag. Say hello!
