This #FirstFriday the ICA Boston hosts Fashion Forward featuring a presentation by Louis Boston, a designer trunk show, and music by DJ Knift and DJ Stenny. While there, be sure to check out their new exhibition Amy Sillman: one lump or two. The event goes from 5-10pm. The Museum of Fine Arts Boston also hosts its MFA First Friday event tonight from 6:00-9:30pm, featuring DJ Denise LaCarubba. Tickets available online through their website or in person at the museum. Both events are 21+.
Or you could head to the South End and over to the Boston Center for the Arts' Mills Gallery for the opening reception of About, With & For—a group exhibition curated by Juliana Driever—open from 7-9pm. The SOWA District art galleries (450 Harrison Street in the South End) will be open from 5-8pm. SOWA galleries and artists’ studios are FREE and open to the public of all ages. Of note tonight, Miller Yezerski's new project space, M-Projects (450 Harrison #309A), has an exhibition by our friends at Aint-Bad Magazine featuring images from their new issue.
