With what looks like will be the first #FirstFriday of 2013 without cold winds or precipitation, it's officially time to celebrate the end of Winter with lots of great new and continuing exhibitions and events.
This #FirstFriday, head over to Me Love You Long Time (MLYLT) at the Boston Center for the Arts' Mills Gallery from 7-8pm and catch one of the featured performances of the night by Zavé Marohardjono and Rico J. Reyes as well as a moderated conversation with the artists. It is the last weekend to see this exhibition before it closes on April 7th, so don't miss it (read Robyn Day's review of MLYLT here). While down in the South End don't forget that as always, the SOWA District art galleries (450 Harrison Street in the South End) will be open from 5-8pm. SOWA galleries and artists’ studios are FREE and open to the public of all ages. This month, be sure to stop by Gallery Kayafas to help celebrate their 10th Anniversary with photographs by Robert Richfield and Aaron Siskind.
Some of the Big Red & Shiny team will be out on the town tonight. Look out for the #FirstFriday hashtag. Say hello!
