Still from From Morning to Midnight (1920, 74 min.) by Karl Henz Martin

The Institute of Contemporary Art(ICA), 100 Northern Avenue, Boston
THE ALLOY ORCHESTRA, Live Film Score: From Morning to Midnight
The Alloy Orchestra writes and performs unusual combination of found percussion and state-of-the-art electronics, helping to revive some great and unusual films of the silent era. A unique visual German expressionist masterwork, recently rediscovered in Japan, the film features radically stylized sets and imagery. Seen today the originality and daring of the film’s overall conception elevates it to the pantheon of the cinema’s most prominent and important "lost" works.
