CLIFF PFEIFFER, R.I.P.

0

Many New England artists were friends of Cliff Pfeiffer. Students and visitors to the Museum School knew him as the front desk guard who was always up for a chat about the events of the day. Many artists knew him as the photographer who was always available to make slides of their work or to document their projects. He was a fixture at the various events and openings around town.

It is with sadness that we report that Cliff Pfeiffer passed on last week.

Little information is available concerning the cause, and the only specifics on hand as of this writing come from an email, written by Scott Derby of the Protective Services Department at the MFA, that was forwarded to many friends of Pfeiffer last week. Writing on January 10th, Derby said that Pfeiffer died "earlier this week" and that "Cliff was a fixture at the front entrance and an integral member of the school staff. Cliff’s family had a private ceremony but asked that expressions of sympathy be made in his memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm Street, Danvers, MA 01923 or to the charity of one’s choice."

Our condolences to Pfeiffer's family and loved ones.
